✦ The Funeral of Amy Gamble ✦

A Celestian Rite of Remembrance, Release, and Light

Opening

We gather today in love.

We gather not only to mourn the passing of Amy Gamble, but to remember the life she lived, the love she shared, and the place she holds within the great tapestry of existence.

We stand together at one of life's most solemn thresholds — where the visible world meets the unseen, where one journey ends and another begins.

Though our hearts feel the weight of separation, we remember the teaching of the Light:

Nothing is truly lost to the Light.

All things arise from the Eternal Radiance.
All life is woven together.
And every soul carries within it a spark of that same Divine Light.

Today, we honor Amy.
Today, we remember her.
And today, with love, we entrust her to the Spiral.

 Prayer of the Eternal Light

Eternal Radiance, Source of all being,

You who are known by many names
and contained by none;

You who shine within every heart,
within every living thing,
within every star and every breath,

Be with us now.

In this hour of sorrow,
let the Light within us not be hidden by grief.

Give us courage to feel what we feel,
wisdom to accept what we cannot change,
and compassion for every heart that mourns.

We give thanks for the life of Amy Gamble.

For the moments she shared,
for the memories she created,
for the love she gave,
and for the place she holds within the lives of those who knew her.

May the Light that surrounded her in life
now guide her beyond the veil.

May her soul find peace upon the Transitional Plane.
May she rest, remember, and gather wisdom.
And when her journey calls her onward,
may she continue upon the Spiral toward greater Light,
greater wisdom,
and greater unity.

We remember that death is not the erasure of a life.

It is a threshold.

And though we cannot see beyond it,
we trust in the Eternal Pattern,
the great movement of existence,
and the Light from which all souls arise.

May Amy travel gently.

May she be surrounded by Light.

May she know that she was loved.

And may the love we hold for her become a light that remains with us.

So may it be.

The Second Prayer — At the Threshold

Eternal Light,

We stand where Earth and Heaven meet.

We stand between memory and mystery,
between what we have known
and what we cannot yet see.

Our hearts are heavy,
and so we ask not that grief be taken from us,
but that grief be transformed.

Transform our sorrow into compassion.
Transform our fear into courage.
Transform our questions into wisdom.
Transform our tears into remembrance.
Transform our loss into gratitude for having known Amy.

Let us not believe that love ends because a life has ended.

Love remains.

Memory remains.

The influence of a life remains.

Every kindness Amy gave,
every moment she shared,
every person whose life she touched,
has become part of the greater tapestry of existence.

The thread may change,
but it is not forgotten.

We therefore release Amy with love.

We do not hold her to this world through our sorrow.
We do not ask her to remain where she has finished her work.

Instead, we bless her journey.

May the Light guide her.

May wisdom accompany her.

May compassion surround her.

May peace become her companion.

And may she continue upon the Spiral,
wherever her next lesson, her next awakening,
and her next expression of the Divine may lead.

For we remember:
From Light we come.
In Light we dwell.
To Light we return.

Amen.

 Remembrance of Amy

At this time, we pause to remember Amy Gamble.

Let us remember not simply that she died,
but that she lived.

Let us remember her laughter,
her voice,
her presence,
the moments she shared with us,
and the ways — great or small — in which her life became part of ours.

 Minister's Introduction

And now, in the spirit of remembrance and love,
I invite those who knew Amy to share their memories,
their stories,
and the pieces of her life that they carry within them.

For every memory shared is another lamp kindled against the darkness.

 Reflection on the Spiral

The Celestian Path teaches that life is not a straight road.

It is a Spiral.

We move through beginnings and endings,
joy and sorrow,
arrival and departure,
learning and remembrance.

We do not always understand where the Spiral is taking us.

But we can trust that every life has meaning.

Amy's life was one thread within the greater tapestry of existence.

Her journey touched ours,
and because it touched ours,
we carry something of her forward.

In this way, a person does not simply disappear from the world.

They continue through memory.
Through influence.
Through love.
Through the lives they touched.

And beyond what we can see,
the Celestian tradition teaches that the soul continues its own journey of growth and remembrance.

So today we do not say only,
"Goodbye."

We say:
"Go gently upon the Spiral."

May the road ahead be filled with Light.

 The Release of the Soul

Amy Gamble,

We remember you.

We honor you.

We thank you.

Whatever words remained unspoken,
whatever moments remained unfinished,
whatever questions remain unanswered,
we now place them into the hands of the Eternal Light.

We release you from our keeping,
but never from our love.

Go now in peace.

May the Light before you reveal the way.

May the Light within you remind you who you are.

May the Light around you carry you safely onward.

And wherever the Spiral leads,
may you continue to grow in wisdom,
compassion,
peace,
and love.
Nothing is lost to the Light.

 Closing Words

We have gathered in sorrow,
but we do not leave only with sorrow.

We leave with remembrance.

We leave with gratitude.

We leave carrying the stories, lessons, laughter, and love that Amy gave to us.

Let us care for those who grieve most deeply.

Let us give them permission to cry,
to hurt,
to remember,
and eventually to smile again.

Let us not be ashamed of grief.

Grief is love continuing after the physical presence of someone has changed.

And when grief comes,
let us remember the Celestian teaching:
Shadow is not the opposite of Light.

It is the place through which Light becomes visible.

May our sorrow therefore become compassion.

May our memories become gratitude.

May our gratitude become love.

And may our love become service to the living.

For the greatest way we can honor Amy
is not merely to remember that she lived,

but to allow something beautiful from her life
to continue living through us.

---

 Blessing of Light

May the Eternal Radiance shine upon us.

May wisdom guide our minds.

May compassion soften our hearts.

May courage strengthen us in times of darkness.

May patience carry us through the seasons of grief.

May forgiveness free us from what we cannot change.

May gratitude remind us of what we were fortunate enough to have.

May love bind us together as one.

May the Light within us recognize the Light within one another.

And when we leave this sacred moment,
may we carry that Light into the world.
From Light we come.
In Light we dwell.
Through Light we live.
To Light we return.

Go now in peace.

Go in remembrance.

Go in compassion.

Go in love.
And may the Light we have kindled here shine in every heart.

 Final Words for Amy

 A Farewell to the Traveler

Amy,

Tonight we do not write your ending.

We write our farewell.

Your story became intertwined with ours,
and although we cannot walk beside you
where you are going now,
we can send you onward with love.

May the road beneath you be gentle.

May the darkness never overcome the Light.

May every lesson become wisdom,
every memory become understanding,
and every turning of the Spiral bring you closer
to the Eternal Radiance.

If there is a place beyond this veil
where souls remember what they have forgotten,
may you remember.

If there are worlds beyond this world,
may you find peace within them.

If the Spiral carries you onward into another life,
may you carry forward the wisdom you have gathered.

And if there is a moment when you look back toward this world,
know this:

You were loved.

You were remembered.

You mattered.

And the Light that lived within you
was never yours alone.

It was part of the same Light
that lives within every one of us.

So we release you now,
not into nothingness,
but into mystery.

Not into darkness,
but toward Light.

Not into an ending,
but into whatever comes next upon the great Spiral.

Rest peacefully, Amy Gamble.

Travel gently.

And wherever the journey takes you,
may you always find the Light.

From Light we come.
In Light we dwell.
To Light we return.

✦ So may it be. ✦
